Governor Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers state has announced on Thursday morning his decision to leave the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressive Party (APC).
The governor who was elected on the platform of the PDP in 2015, and re-elected in 2019 announced his decision to dump the PDP after meeting with 6 APC governors who visited him in the state house. He has since been received into the APC by Yobe State Governor and the party caretaker Committee Chair, Mai Mala Buni
